3. Getting Started with Setup Procedures

Refer to the following descriptions to install the DVRRemote remote software.

3.1 Changing Internet Settings

The browser that you want to operate with DVRRemote should be set to

accept ActiveX plug-ins. Please follow the steps to set the Internet security

settings appropriately.

• Before you operate the remote software, please check the IP address of

your DRT16 / DRT8 DVR series unit. To check the IP address, press

MENU key on the remote DVR unit and enter password to access OSD

Main menu; select <System Setup>, <Network Setup>, then <LAN Setup>

to check the IP.

• Start IE; and select <Tools> from the main menu of the browser, then

<Internet Options>, and then click the <Security> tab.

• Select <Trusted sites> and click <Sites> to specify its security setting.
